A New Take on an Old Story .....

Tienna surprised me with this 2 days ago - it was one of those moments when I realized just how big she's getting!!

(It takes her a second to speak up, she was a little shy of the camera at first)

Rainy Days

I love Arizona monsoon rainstorms!! Last night we had a nice thunderstorm (for almost the first time this summer, which is quite unusual) and while I loved it I kept hoping it would stick around for more than 15 minutes. Well, as luck would have it, it rained all night and all the way until about 10:00am!! This morning we went to the library and it was cool enough we could actually walk there (granted it was raining pretty good - thanks for the motivating push Steph!). We got there a little wet and the rain had stopped by the time we needed to walk home. When we got home I noticed Tienna's hair:

Just a bit crazier than typical to say the least! I love her curls and can only imagine what it would be like every day if we lived back east!

Oops!

Ok, funny story ... last night Tienna and I were walking to get the mail, taking the typical lap around the pool on our way back home. She was running and got going a little faster than she could handle. Sure enough she took a tumble, but rather than just falling on her hands and knees her momentum rocked her forward so she bonked her head too. It took her a second to decide if she was ok and then started crying, but only got out two sobs before looking at me and asking "hanny manny" (meaning Handy Manny which is our bandaids we have for her). Once we got the "hanny manny" on all she wanted was a bowl of Cheerios. I was so grateful that she was easily pacified as Josh was at work all last night. Oh how we love our little Tienna!

Yep, she insisted on a bandaid on her nose too...

Precious

Ok, I have to share this one (especially for grandma's!). The other night while getting ready for bed Tienna insisted she wanted to say her own prayers without any help from Josh or I. This was the result:
"Heanly Fater, thank you fur today.
Thank you fur blessings.
Thank you fur blessings.
Thank you fur mommy n daddy.
Thank you fur blessings.
Name Je Chri, Amen!"
I can't believe my little girl is saying her own prayers!! It's moments like this that make all the cranky days worth it!!
