Tienna's 2nd Birthday

Tienna turned 2 last week. We had not only a day, but a week full of fun - it just seemed to keep going and going. Here's some pictures:

Birthday morning - Tienna was thrilled to tear open all the wrapping paper. She liked the presents, but honestly I still think she's more a fan of the noisy paper and bright ribbons!

This summer we're doing the local theater's summer movie program. There's a movie every week (for less than $1) and it just happens to be on Tuesday's, which was Tienna's birthday. We had fun at Madagascar 2 with Madison, Audrey and Caysen. On our way out Tienna and Madison were completely mesmerized by the candy counter.....

What's a birthday without ice cream?? We needed something to stick some candles in - Tienna was thrilled. It took a couple attempts, but she eventually blew both out.

Thursday we had a little birthday party with some friends. The munchkins ran around (the clubhouse, thankfully; not our apartment!) playing with bubbles, coloring, fishing and discovering prizes. We decorated a la Tinkerbell. Tienna's been on quite the Tinkerbell kick lately and Josh got all the paraphernalia possible. We had a ladybug cake with Tinkerbell riding on it's back.

Tienna's 2 year milestones:

32 lbs. (94th%)

36 in. tall (96th%)

19 3/4 in. head (98th%) - yep, some things are still the same after 2 years!! :)

constantly talking (we can understand almost 90% of what she says!)

always asking "that?" meaning what's that?

current obsession with Tinkerbell

sneaking off to get into mischief (this consists of either finding a pack of gum and seeing how many pieces she can consume before I find her, or finding a sheet of stickers and covering herself - see below)

giving lots of hugs and loves to everyone and everything

asking for stroller rides if we go for more than a couple days without one

categorizing people into families (i.e. baby Ella, Ella's mommy, Ella's daddy) - on occasion with this one she can pull out mom and dad's names!

singing almost constantly - favorite songs are ABC's, I Love to See the Temple

when not singing, asking for me to turn on music - the preferred tunes are Jonas Brothers (seriously, she asks for them by name) or "Honey, Honey" (aka Mamma Mia! soundtrack)

mischievously looking at me when I ask her to do something she's not a fan of, then smiling and saying, "ok mommy"

walking around talking on my phone when I'm talking to my mom or sister - she has to do it alone and typically holds the phone with a raised shoulder while doing something else

counting to 20 (she's finally starting to remember to include 14!)

"reading" herself some of her favorite books by repeating phrases over and over while turning the pages (Pinkalicious is a huge hit cesily, thanks!)

being the cutest little thing ever!
