Easter Fun!

This past weekend we had lots of Easter fun despite the rainy weather - it's hard to get mad because of the rain here in AZ because it's such a novelty to actually have it rain all day long. It's actually pretty fun to watch and play in when it does happen.

Saturday we had a busy day. It was the quad-region playoffs for church ball and our team won! Tienna and I loved watching the games because they were actually during the day rather than at 9:00pm on a weeknight. In between games we went the the annual Easter festivities at Midwestern. They were complete with Easter egg grab, treats for the little ones (including decorate your own cookies), balloons and even an Easter Bunny. Tienna loved it!!

Sunday we had our own little egg and basket hunt. It took Tienna a few minutes to figure it out but once she did she loved it! She would even stop and open an egg every 5 minutes or so to see what was inside and have a little snack (I think the marshmallow bunnies were the favorite!). We were so happy Josh could be here since last year we got stuck in UT and had Easter without dad.

Tienna loves the noise the piggy bank makes - we now have a new place for our pennies!

Other than that, my brother Taylor was here over the weekend. He's also in medical school and matched for residency here in Phoenix last month. He braved the rain to go house hunting and ended up buying one just up the street from us. We're so excited to have family so close soon!!
